Please be advised: This portfolio is mostly focused on artwork meant to work in the Magic The Gathering universe but I’d also be happy to work in other projects.

Perhaps in this first introduction, as you can see, the art styles are a little bit off from what the Wizards of the Coast IP is known for, but I think it’s interesting to see my sketches and work process in different projects.

Although the illustrations in my portfolio weren’t specifically designed to be Magic cards, I think many could work as such. I tend to work with big pieces designed to cover large surfaces so as a Magic The Gathering fan, I’ve enjoyed isolating fragments in my artwork that I imagine would work as storytellers of an instant, enchantment, or spell.

As a MTG fan, my favorite cards tend to be the Lands, I love them. I’m probably one of the few people who runs to their local game store looking for the Land box just to catch a glimpse of the season’s new artwork.

Although these illustrations do not have enough quality to be enlarged, wouldn’t they be great as a set of Lands in the Star Wars universe?
